A Musical Based on the Gospel According to St. Matthew

Godspell’ is an early rock musical written by Stephen Schwartz and John-Michael Tebelak. It is loosely based on the Gospel according to St. Matthew. Drawing from various theatrical traditions, such as clowning, pantomime, charades, acrobatics and vaudeville, ‘Godspell’ was a groundbreaking and unique reflection on the life of Jesus, with a message of kindness, tolerance and love.

Under the direction of Aaron Kropf, Michel Allard, and Michelle Cutts, the cast included Myles Avigdor, Sally Bryant, Brian Cox, Jessica Damen, Nick Dolan, Val Hewitt, Callum Hutchinson, Kristen Keller, Erin Moffat, Emma Rudy, Molly Ryan, Ariana Sprott, Cameron Sprott, and Anne-Marie Walters.
